Taqueria 27 is a locally and veteran owned taqueria with spots around the Salt Lake area, including Downtown, Holladay, Fashion Place, Lehi, and Eagle Mountain. The menu takes taco night somewhere you wouldn't expect, and it works every time.
What to order
Guacamole of the Day
They call it G.O.D., and it earns the name. The flavor changes daily, so ask your server what they came up with. Whatever it is, get it. It's the right way to start.
The BLT taco
On the menu as the P.B.L.T.A.: house-smoked pork belly, sliced and seared, with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, avocado, and jalapeño aioli on flour tortillas. It's a BLT turned up to eleven.
Grilled pears and roasted beets, with tri-tip
It sounds like a salad, and that's the point. Grilled pears, roasted beets, spinach, gorgonzola, and a balsamic reduction in flour tortillas. Add the steak and you get sweet, earthy, tangy, and savory in one bite. This is the taco I tell people about.
Tips
- Order a few and share. The fun is trying the unexpected combinations.
- Don't skip the beets just because it's vegetarian on the menu. Add the meat and it's my favorite thing there.
